The dried adhesive will remain on the floor, allowing individual carpet tiles to be lifted out and replaced without substantial loss of adhesive properties. This product is an aggressive pressure sensitive formulation that retains its tack for the bonding to various substrates. The dried film is alkali, water, and plasticizer migration resistant. This adhesive can be applied using common tools and techniques over a variety of porous and non-porous surfaces. Healthbond 2399 is a water-based, solvent-free, non-flammable, and low odor adhesive. It also has very low VOC’s, which makes it ideal for use in schools, healthcare facilities, public buildings, and anywhere indoor air quality is a concern. Healthbond 2399 is Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Green Label Plus certified and may contribute to LEED project certification for low emitting materials. This adhesive meets or exceeds California requirements as specified in Rules 102 and 443 as well as SCAQMD Rule 1168.
