This Mail Pouch advertising sign is a throwback to one of America’s most iconic outdoor ad campaigns. If you’ve ever driven through the countryside and spotted an old barn with “Treat Yourself to the Best” painted across the side, it was for this brand. Mail Pouch started in West Virginia in 1879, and from 1891 to 1992, they painted thousands of barns along roadways as part of their advertising. Barn owners got a little cash and some free product and today, the few surviving barns are considered folk art—some are even designated national historic landmarks. This sign is 38.25 inches long and 8 inches wide. It’s missing the thermometer, but still a great display piece. The colors really pop!
