Description
I recently came up on a laptop way newer and nicer than anything I’ve owned before, and it’s come to my attention that I really don’t need 6 different laptops. Acer Chromebook: $120, charger included. I believe it has 4GB RAM and 32GB storage built in. But it’s a solid and easy to use machine. Comes with ChromeOS installed. Good for basic work or casual use. HP Chromebook: $120, charger included. Pretty sure this has similar specs to the Acer, just not as aesthetically appealing or sturdy in its gray plastic case. But as far as cheap dependable laptops go, it’s solid. I have Linux Mint currently installed but I can probably install whatever OS you want (within reason). HP DV6 Media Center: $200, charger included An older laptop, the plastic casing has a few cracks and imperfections but they’re not immediately apparent. I wanna say it has 4GB RAM (DDR3, I think?) maybe 8GB, and a 500GB HDD plus a basic DVD-RW ODD. If you’re interested, I can check and confirm the specs later tonite. Currently running Kali. It doesn’t currently have a WiFi card installed, but I think I’ve got one or 2 spares that would fit. And if not I do have a USB WiFi adapter I could include. I’m not entirely sure about this, but I think I remember the battery either flat out doesn’t work, or doesn’t hold a charger for very long. ASUS#1: $275 — 16GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB HDD, onboard WiFi, Basic DVD-RW ODD. Very reliable, the battery is dying but still works remarkably well all things considered. The older of my 2 ASUS laptops but every bit as reliable as it’s newer, slightly more advanced counterpart. Currently running Mint. ASUS#2: $350 — 8GB DDR3 RAM, either a 750GB HDD or 512GB SSD, I don’t remember. WiFi built in, touchscreen capabilities, but no disc drive. It’s a much sleeker and compact machine than my other ASUS, but doesn’t sacrifice screen size, and is much sturdier and harder to damage thanks to a solid metal case. Running Kali at the moment. A couple notes about the ASUS laptops: -first of all, I only have one charger between them. Word of warning. Might have to find yourself a charger elsewhere. -also, I’m really partial to both of these laptops, I intend on keeping one of them (and hell, if neither of them sell I’m happy enough keeping them both too), but they’re both reliable as can be, and considering the age of the technology, both perform at a high level. Prices negotiable, to a degree, and they’ll be cheaper if you buy multiple: -HP Chromebook & Acer: $175 -2x HPs: $250 -2x HPs & Acer: $325 -2x HPs, Acer & ASUS#1: $500 -2x HPs, Acer & ASUS#2: $600 -2x HPs, Acer & 2x ASUS: $750 Any other bundles not listed above just ask, or make me an offer. Worst I can do is say no. Lastly, I can upgrade the RAM & HDD/SSD (& whatever else) on anything except the chromebooks, but the price will have to be adjusted accordingly.
