The beaters are still in great condition. Pedals are smooth and fast. This kit is not only beautiful, it's built extremely well, it's sturdy and acoustic design comes from the engineering team at DW so you know it's top notch. The materials are top of the line, from the Birch shells, to the beautiful chrome lugs, hoops and suspension system for the toms. The chrome is in mint condition, no rust or pitting, on both the shells and the hardware. The Cymbals are in great condition with minimal wear from playing and age, but they've got years of use still in them. I included everything most drummers want in a set, including a nice set of double pedals and full cymbal  pack. This kit is ready to play, you don't need anything, but commitment to honing your drumming skills. This isn't a beginners kit (though my belief is beginners should start with the best kit they can afford) this is for advanced drummers and professionals alike.
