RARE From Indonisia - This is called a Becak - It's similar to a Rickshaw. The "Becak" is unique to Indonisia. It Does have a canopy top that folds down, it is torn. The last 4 pictures are of Becak's that are exactly like the one for sale here. They are hand made. They have very intricate design and metal works. I believe this is from the early 1960's. These have a lot of historical relevance in Indonesia. The "fenders" that are over the wheels are actually made of old oil barrels. Each Becak has a different hand painted design on the Fenders. On the rear if the seat it says "SATU HATI". On the fenders, this one has its original artwork still visible, although faint. Please ignore the red/white tarp and the white object where the seat is. There IS a seat underneath there. There is room to sit, the passengers feet stay inside the cart. Designed for 2 locals, a tight fit for 2 average size Westerners. Awesome piece. $900 or best offer.
