Description
Stunning and rare Chapoo serving bowl or vegetable dish produced by John Wood, often mistaken for Josiah Wedgwood (his second name coincidentally is Wedg) in the Chapoo Flow Blue pattern, c. 1850. Bowl is eight sided with panels and deep well featuring a central scene depicting large pagoda with flowering tree. Rim is decorated with two alternating floral patterns. Bowl measures 10 1/2" long x 7 3/4" wide x 2 1/4" high and is sold AS IS, there is slight crazing in the glaze.
