Description
I bought this about a year ago. The engine and trans are strong. And everyone in the South are buying them up like hot cakes to convert into campers! So I bought Sassy! I was in the process of fixing it up when I ended up with major problems with my back. I have driven this van to Pa./Delco to get my surgery in Philadelphia, where my family can take care of me during rehab. Anyway… I have put four grand into it after my purchase, to get the undercarriage in order. It needed work on the front end. All done! Including a new steering box and ac unit. I installed a hitch (3500lbs). Changed all fluids- trans and filter, oil and filter, radiator flushed/antifreeze. Topped all fluids. The inside I finished the back floor with heavy duty vinyl wood planking. The ceiling with white Wainscot. I was just starting to custom carpet the walls and cab berths when I had to head North. It has excellent tires all around. A new full size spare. I removed the passenger seat for a potty room when I camp. The seat is available to replace. I just installed a new 24” kit cab with a top drawer and a front door with two shelves. I was starting a secret hidaway cab for personal property and had not finished it. It’s setup perfect for the kit area. Just add a counter top! It has a fullsize platform bed, big enough for a twin with a shelf or a full mattress. I am now located in Delaware County temporarily. After surgery, I will be heading home to beautiful S Florida! Update! My surgery is scheduled and I want to sell before I go in the hospital. This week I noticed a leak from my p-steering pump. So I took it over to a service center to get it repaired or replaced. I had them go over the entire van while I was there. The results were that the pump will need replacing. And I need the front motor mounts replaced. The cost of the pump was $65. The 2 motor mounts @ $100 for both. But the labor was ridiculous! Anyway the bottom line is I don’t have my mechanic here in Pa. And there is no way I am paying those prices! (As I actually would be able to do this work myself if I wasn’t injured. )So I am cutting the price in half to sell fast… The news is good if you have mechanical experience, or a friend or family member that works on the old cars will have a great van done your way at a great price! Both jobs are very doable. And the cost of the parts is minimal! Update Nov 30- this van is in the shop having all the listed parts needed installed! My ad had given any mechanic or DIY the opportunity to purchase it at less than half the price, as is. The new adjusted price listed is firm! The new owner can now concentrate on their design and installation the way that they want it. Ty for your interest and good luck! If you see this ad, it is still available.! Someone has highjacked it and posted sold.🫣
