We purchased this piano in April of 2017. The piano was used by a professional pianist in the 40's and the musician kept the piano until he passed several years ago. His family sold us the piano when they decided to move out of state. Our daughter learned to play piano on this instrument. Our plan was to keep the piano "forever" and have it thoroughly restored. These can be quite valuable especially when restored. We subsequently moved out of state, and much to my dismay, the piano will not fit in our new home. These are the things we had a piano guru (Randall Fleer, Chicago) perform on the piano after having the instrument moved to our home in 2017: Pitch raise A couple broken strings replaced Voicing Bridge crack repair Tuning NOTE: the photos of the piano disassembled are from Randall when he performed a deep and thorough inspection at the seller's house before we purchased the piano. The piano was fully reassembled afterwards, of course. The piano needs to be tuned currently. Randall had suggested it would need a secondary tuning after we had it moved to our home in 2017 because the piano was sitting in the previous owners home for so long. A piano does need to be tuned after being moved regardless - we only had that initial tuning done. Again, after you have the piano moved, you will need to have it tuned.
