Description
Rare original 1963 Invitation to the “Texas Welcome Dinner” in Austin, Texas on the evening of November 22nd, 1963, framed in an 8 x 10 black frame. This rare artifact documents the event that never occurred after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated that same day. Very few of these exist, and they are highly sought after. I acquired this over 35 years ago from a rare antiques and collectibles gallery in Burbank, California called The White Elephant, and the owner had this along with other rare artifacts collected from the JFK Assassination. It was part of my father’s personal John F. Kennedy memorabilia collection, and I later discovered an identical one on display at the Sixth Floor Museum in Dealey Plaza in Dallas, where it is part of a collection that visitors can view of actual artifacts from the day of the assassination. It is framed in a black wood and glass 8 x 10 frame. If you are a serious John F. Kennedy collector, this is your opportunity to own a very unique piece of history, at a price that is well below what others have paid. Local pickup in Los Angeles. Damian
