This standard size set is an original, Herman Miller authenticated product with labels shown in pictures. It is made with molded 7 ply walnut veneer shell and cushions upholstered in black MCL leather that Herman Miller created exclusively for this chair and is no longer available. It is semi aniline leather that is just the right thickness, buttery softness, and beautifully creases. The base is black enamel with polished aluminum trim. Condition: the lounge chair and ottoman set is well taken care of. Manufactured in 2014 and it has been minimally used. Leather is clean, supple, and pristine. The wooden frame has no dents or and a few, barely visible surface scuffs. Manufacture labels (date, initial, item bar code) are included, shown in pictures. They will not flatten or clump over time. The back braces and bases—of both the chair and ottoman—are die-cast aluminum. The chair base has a built-in swivel mechanism. Shock mounts are resilient natural rubber. Stainless steel glides are adjustable. The seat is permanently tilted to take the weight off your lower spine and distribute it properly to the back of the chair. The lower cushion piece supports your lower back, so you feel relaxed.
