Description
Step back in time with this stunning mid-19th century American shelf clock, beautifully preserved and ready to display. Featuring a hand-painted Roman numeral dial, visible brass movement, and ornate reverse-painted (eglomisé) glass panel depicting an American eagle motif surrounded by radiant gold detail. Flanked by original turned wood and gilt-painted columns, this piece is a perfect blend of patriotic symbolism and early Americana craftsmanship. • Circa: 1830–1870 • Condition: Very good antique condition; original glass, wood finish, and mechanism Currently non-working, but likely an easy restore for the right individual. Even still, this is a stunning clock from the 1800’s! It does appear someone (not me - not my expertise) tried to begin a restore but gave up. Appears to include all parts (and even some extra?). String pulls and weights seem to be in order. Local buyers must pick-up, secure location with easy & free parking. Sold as-is. Sold first come first serve. Cash or Zelle only.
