Description

This stunning framed piece measures 28 inches length and 19 inches wide. It is a very detailed house scene depicting boys carrying a symbol of longevity, the peach, next to a sage and attendants. In the background to the right, we see a room where women are painting a scroll, and to the left a gentleman watches the procession. The color is rich and saturated. This reverse painting technique on glass allows the light to filter through and enhances the color and depth. 23x17” VINTAGE CHINESE REVERSE GLASS Likely painted during the Republic Period, circa 1921-49 and it has "Made in China" printed in Red on a small Paper Label on its Reverse Side. The Painting has a Wood Backing and is framed in a Dark Wood Tone Lacquered Wood Frame . Painting is in excellent condition
