Description
Hey everyone, Selling my 2010 Lincoln Navigator 4WD. I'm a big believer in transparency, so here’s a full breakdown of the vehicle’s condition, known issues, and the good stuff it still has going for it. I’d rather you know everything upfront than be surprised later. 🔧 Needs Attention (Major Repairs) Valve Body: Diagnosed by AAMCO in Boston—not the transmission itself, but the valve body. Shop recommended replacing the whole transmission with a used one for cost efficiency. You can hear a rattling at low speeds that goes away when accelerating. Found a used trans online for ~$500. Headlights: Shut off after 1–2 minutes of driving. All fuses and relays were replaced and worked briefly. Fog lights are used instead. Likely the headlight switch but not 100% sure. ⚠️ Minor Issues / Annoyances Running Boards: Motor on driver’s side doesn’t retract properly. Feature turned off via dash. Front Bumper: Needs full replacement (previous owner damage). Zip-tied temporarily. Fog lights work but bounce slightly. Rear Blend Door Actuator: Clicking sound when turning on rear climate—goes away after about a minute. Interior Trim: Driver’s chrome door handle trim missing. 12V Ports: Two front ports don’t work. Rear port does, and I use an inverter from that. Leather Seats: Tears present, but still comfortable. Heated/Cooled Seats: Work intermittently (~50/50). Steering Column: Slight "clunk" at low speeds, likely space between intermediate and steering columns. Doesn’t affect drive—been using it like this for 3+ years. Window Quirks: Vertical streaks visible in sunlight (possible prior tint issue). Driver & passenger windows roll down ~1–2 inches after being rolled up, but can be rolled back up right away. ✅ The Good Stuff Smooth Ride: Suspension feels great with no high-speed vibrations. Tight Alignment: Recently done earlier this year. Tires: Michelin tires installed before a cross-country trip—still 60% life left. Wheels: Upgraded to gunmetal gray rims (replaced peeling chrome ones). Brakes: Smooth and responsive. Rear brakes replaced this year. Rear Differential: Replaced this year with a used unit. Regular Oil Changes: Every 5k miles with synthetic (done personally). THX Sound System: 600W with DVD player. Rear DVD works—used for retro gaming! Backup Camera & Sensors: Works great—beeps as you reverse. Strong Engine: No issues—gets ~380 miles per tank. Good power and smooth acceleration. New Battery: Duralast Gold installed earlier this year. Sunroof: Fully functional—tilts and retracts with no issues. 💬 Other Info I have all service receipts and maintenance records. Selling because I need a larger truck. I work from home a few days a week and am flexible for test drives during weekdays and weekends. Open to reasonable offers, but please no lowballs. If you’re interested or have questions, feel free to message me. Thanks for reading!
