Description

Zimmerman Art blown glass pumpkin handcrafted in Corydon, Indiana. Second oldest family owned studio in U.S. Been in business since 1942. Size: Height 3 1/2"/Width 3". Color: Swirled orange, black and white with a curly white stem. Signed by Brian Z, a fifth generation glass blower. During the glassblowing process a solid metal rod called a punty is attached to the base of a piece to hold it while the artist shapes the neck or top. When the glass is finished the punty is broken off and it can leave a puntil, a scar of a dark, reddish black deposit of iron oxide in the glass. A one of a kind piece. Can be used for a Fall home decor or paperweight. Normally sells for $55. Will accept a firm $40. Local p/u only.
