Museum Grade Rare Vintage Canon FD 1200mm f/11 S.S.C. Telephoto Lens + Case

Optical Condition: A— Exceptional optical clarity. Stored continuously in a low-humidity, climate-controlled environment (Arizona, USA). Glass is completely free of internal fungus, mold, haze, or separation. Mechanical Condition: A— Focus mechanism travels smoothly across the entire range. Aperture ring and diaphragm blades engage cleanly and operate without stickiness or oil. Cosmetic Condition: B+— The lens barrel exhibits minimal superficial cosmetic wear consistent with light field use. High-contrast original red "S.S.C." and white focal length markings are crisp and fully legible. Note: Rubber feet on the bottom of the case are missing. Accessories Included: Complete original aluminum fitted flight case (foam lining fully intact) and drop-in filter holder. Historical / Collector Note: An extremely rare, highly specialized 1970s super-telephoto lens system from Canon’s convertible telephoto lineup. While housing in an original FL-designated metal flight case, the optical head itself features the upgraded, highly desirable FD S.S.C. (Super Spectra Coating) optics (Serial No. 10573), making this a scarce transition-era variant produced in very limited numbers prior to the EF era. Tested and fully functional.
