Description

Van Dell Fabulous antique or vintage Carnelian Shell cameo carved in Italy. The cameo features a gorgeous carved lady encased in an 12kt gold filled frame. The pendant measures 1.5" in length by 1-1/4 " and is marked: Van Dell 12K Gold Filled. It is in excellent condition. They look great as pendants but this also has a fold down bail and a brooch pin soldered on so it can be worn as a pin too. The Van Dell Corporation was founded in in 1938 in Providence Rhode Island, which is still a jewelry hub to this day. The company manufactured well made sterling silver, gold filled and gold plated jewelry rather than more commonly made costume jewelry in base metal. This would make an excellent gift for someone special.
