Description

Beautiful Antique Chinese Alter Cabinet! From the late 1800’s the cabinet is Elm Wood , Handcrafted with wooden peg and tenon structure. A traditional craftsmanship in ancient China. Done in red laquer. This piece measures 31” Tall -371/2” wide and 21” Deep. A great size for any area. Use for Buffet/sideboard, entry way, dresser. Anything you wish! Has two drawers and large bottom with two doors! Please see pictures, it’s really quite amazing. At that particular time, tree sap was used for a glue of sorts which is evident in picture of inside cabinet. Remarkable craftsmanship. Also it is with Red lacquer finish. Red lacquer in this during this period was acquired using (again) tree sap for that shine. This is a favorite of mine!
