Description

Overview: Up for sale is this very cool woodblock print, "Pilgrims," which depicts two Japanese travelers stopping for a break on the road. One is filling a pipe, while the other is standing and admiring the scene from the bridge on which they are standing. This print is by Wada Sanzo (b1883-d1968). Printed by Kyoto Hanga-In, and dates to 1939. Print is matted in its original folio matting. Condition: Print is in very good condition. Minor toning. Matting has toning and pinholes at each corner. Measurements: Print measures approximately 16 inches wide x 11.5 inches high. Matting is approximately 18 inches wide x 14.5 inches high.
