Metro Professional Rolling Kitchen Cart With Butcher Block Top From Container Store, Retails For $400+

Metro Professional rolling kitchen butcher block cart. Currently retails at The Container Store for $377 plus tax (and not having to assemble it is priceless). This is the pricier Metro line used in professional kitchens and not the lighter weight InterMetro shelving that’s very similar. The top measures 21x27” and the whole cart is 38.5” high. Middle shelf is adjustable to whatever height you’d like. Top removes easily for washing. This is in pretty flawless except for one thing: three of the four gray rubber bumpers that sit above the wheels have been treated as a chew toy by a puppy and are no longer fully round. That being said, they’re also pretty useless, so it doesn’t affect the performance unless you go slinging this around the kitchen and into walls. I installed two small rubber bumpers at the back of the butcher block top so that it wouldn’t scuff the paint on my walls and they work great. I have never used the butcher block top itself for cutting or food prep, so it’s pretty flawless. I always protected it with cutting boards and such. This rolls super smoothly and is a pleasure to use in a kitchen that needs a little more storage. I bought it for an inadequate on-post kitchen in army housing and I used to roll it up next to move for use at the stove and it was fantastic. In this house, I no longer need it and it’s just a nice-looking kitchen decoration. Time to pass it on to someone else who can truly appreciate its utility. Available for pick-up in University Place.
