Description

Great playing guitar! Far, far nicer than the price range suggests. This example is a first generation Revstar. It is a Yamaha take on a Les Paul, with way more comfort and a more comfortable neck for an average player. MSRP on these was like 1100, street price at about 900 or more. The professional work was about 250 plus tip. The body is a little smaller and more comfortable than the new model in my opinion. I love this one, but I got another guitar that makes this guitar’s tones redundant. Need to thin the heard! This guitar has mahogany body, maple cap, cream bindings. The color is a steel grey/green color with an anodized aluminum pickguard with a copper color. The back and sides are a dark stained wood, not black, slight reddish. Similar to many PRS guitars. This was the top of the line version save for the very expensive Made in Japan version tbh at looks almost identical. I took this one, and had a master luthier (Doc P. currently in Irvine) go through it and do a perfect setup and get the frets smooth as can be. This is a very comfortable guitar. Currently setup with 11’s, but plays great with 10’s as well. One thing common for nearly all these first gen Revstars is that the volume and tone pots feel loose - but usable. I have replacements, but I figured the new owner might want to drop in something to their own taste. Taking 50 off the original planned asking price as a result.
