Antique American Brilliant Period Crystal Cut Glass Compote Bowl Pinwheel starburst, sawtooth Rim. So much Lovely cuts with a Beautiful Starburst on the base, Sawtooth rim, Scalloped base rim and a lovely ornate Stem. Perfect for any occasion to use for candy, nuts or even a side dish for formal Dinning :) In Pefect condition with no chips or cracks! Approx: 8" T x 6 1/4" W weiging 1 Pound 5 ounces. A Bit of History: American Brilliant Period cut glass was primarily produced between 1876 and roughly 1920. This period saw a revival of American cut glass craftsmanship, fueled by the success of American exhibits at the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition in 1876. American Brilliant Period glass was known for its fine quality, hand-cut crystal, and high lead content, giving it a brilliant, refractive effect.
