This is a group of 10 wooden clothes / coat hangers from the 1930s to 1960s. Average length is approximately 17” long. Slogans read, “Over 50 Years of Service,” “Where Style Begins,” and “A Clever Clothes Shop.” Includes: 2 Bond (from the “flagship” store at 372 Fifth Ave at 35th NYC), Eisenberg and Eisenberg (149 5th Avenue, NYC), Moe Levy and Sons Outfitters to Men and Boys (119-125 Walker St. NYC), Buddy Lee (1407 Broadway, NYC), Bill’s (53-11 Myrtle Ave.Brooklyn) etc. Several feature interesting tidbits of history - such as a reference to “Stage 3457.” This is a reference to the 1940s massive supply base where buildings were numbered by “stages” in the Brooklyn. Metal hooks. These hangers have a nostalgic charm with their classic brown wood construction and original branding. Because they were designed for men’s heavy garments, they are strong and sturdy.
