Description

Up for sale is a Very Rare Vladimir Sokolov Original Mix Media Acrylic Collage named "Celebration". This vibrant masterpiece was done in the year 2000, is hand signed on the center bottom by the artist and is professionally framed and matted. The outer frame has a few very light scuffs that occurred while transporting from my clients estate by the moving company but does not effect the actual art or how beautifully it displays. The actual painting measures 18"x 14", frame measures 21 1/4" x 17". The incredible combination of colors jump off the piece and would be a great addition to any collection. Similar examples of his work are in the thousands on other online sites but I have priced this item to sell quickly and will accept the first fair offer. Vladimir Sokolov was born in 1932 in former Yugoslavia. He was trained and educated in Graphic Design and Fine Art. After visiting the USA in 1965, he decided to come back in 1966 to stay and in 1975 he became a citizen of the USA. In the early sixties he developed a unique painting style, mixed media-collage influenced by constructivist artist Naum Gabo, a well known teacher from New York. Vladimir’s most recent works are concerned with issues of form, light, and space in creation of large and mysterious concepts of the Cosmos. Vladimir likes to describe his paintings as “a mixture of acrylic, paper, and music!” Since 1980 he has owned his studio gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The gallery is a part of the artist’s working studio and is open daily.
