Description
Excellent Unaltered Vintage Condition. Firm Price. Pickup in Olathe. We acquired this set of Weiman "Heirloom Quality" tables from a friend whose family were the original owners. As a young girl, in the late 40’s, she remembers her dad bringing the set home for her mom. The side table has a finished back and column supports on the first tier (see photos). Tooled leather inset tabletops are supple due to being conditioned and well-cared for all of these years. The leather is inlaid with a gold filigree border all around (see photos), which is also in excellent condition. There are some minor imperfections, however none of this detracts from the great beauty or utility of the pieces. Overall, these tables are in excellent vintage condition being structurally sound with age appropriate signs of normal use as pictured and would make a nice addition to your collection. They manufactured Weiman "Heirloom Quality" Occasional Furniture and also had a television cabinet division. In 1968 the company moved to Christiansburg, Virginia. In 1979, Bassett Furniture Industries acquired the company, and in 2003, Interlude Home, Inc. a privately owned upscale accessories and accent furniture supplier headquartered in Trumbull, Connecticut, acquired The Weiman Company.
