Description

My name is Paul Joseph Lista Nyce. I have my Great Aunts silhouette cutouts that she created in the 1920s. I have 2 big boxes containing Helene Nyce 's silhouette cutouts. They are very valuable memobilia created in the 1920's. They should go to one of the auction houses to sell them if I am not alive to do it. I was able to save her work and it was displayed at the New York Folk Art Museum for 5 years. I have over 90 pieces of her work preserved for others to enjoy her work. This particular cutout I will point out why it is so unique and expensive as well as all the cutouts. Helene would picture an image in her mind and without drawing the image she used cuticle scissors to make the cutout in only one piece never cutting and pasting to create a masterpiece. I consider her the Monet-Picasso of Silhouette Cutouts. Her work is priceless.
