Next stop; Vintage 80s Single Sided Enamel Bus Sign: Although this is more than likely a reproduction of a 1950s bus sign, it is a vintage reproduction and like the real ones they are patterned after, they too, are getting harder to find. Why? Because older reproductions were made of sturdier metals than of flimsy tin and the images are often clearer rather than blurry or muddied by an overworked image. This has a very nice enamel feel and it feels solid like a real sign from the “good ‘ol days” would feel. It measures 12” x 12” so it’s definitely not going to hog the wall it is on. The colors are still pretty vibrant and the graphics of a bus and the fat, almost Art Deco font completes the look. Besides all that, it is transportation related and signs dealing with transportation are always desirable. Asking a very reasonable $59. There is one online that’s at $145 but - obviously -it’s still for sale. If this was an authentic vintage sign, you would be looking at hundreds of dollars.
