Artillery Man Cast iron Mechanical Bank Vintage 1960's Repro Taiwan Working Condition $50.00 This is a nicely working cast iron mechanical bank from the 1960's called "Artillery Bank" and made in Taiwan. It is complete and really fires as it should. The bank has fantastic action and is easy to operate. Simply put a coin in the cannon and push the hammer on the back of the cannon down. As you do that, the soldier's arm raises and the weapon locks in the ready position. Next, press the release and watch as the soldier drops his arm and the coin launches from the cannon into the receptacle. It is missing the coin trap. Not only does it function perfectly, but we really like the way this one is painted - particularly the soldier. As far as condition, this one is about as nice as the 50 year old reproductions get. Any collector of mechanical banks or cast iron pieces will really enjoy it. It would fit in perfectly in a room that uses military décor as accent pieces. The item is solid, measures 8 x 6 x 3 and weighs 5 lbs. I do my best at describing the item as best as I can, but please check the pictures very carefully.
