Great first-time car buying experience at ZAS Motors!

I had an amazing experience at ZAS Motors in San Diego. I purchased a 2017 RAM 1500, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free—especially since this was my first time ever buying a car.

The team took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. They truly went above and beyond to help me get into a great truck.

Huge thanks to Yassine, Josh, Zubaid, and Moh for their professionalism, patience, and honesty. They made this process make sense and got me through it.

If you’re a first-time buyer or looking for a solid vehicle with great customer service, I highly recommend ZAS Motors

I’m writing this review to warn future customers to be extremely cautious and to share my ownership experience.

For clarity, my total out-the-door cost, including taxes and fees, was approximately $27,000.

Timeline for context:

• Day of purchase: The water pump failed shortly after delivery. I was not permitted to take the vehicle to a closer repair facility in Oceanside and was required to pay for towing back to the selling dealership. The dealership covered only a portion of that repair.

• Approximately one week later: A harmonic balancer issue arose, resulting in an additional repair expense of approximately $1,500.

• Within the first few weeks of ownership: The tires began consistently losing air pressure, prompting an urgent visit to a tire shop where all four tires were deemed unusable and required replacement at a cost of approximately $1,000.

• Subsequently: Additional drivetrain concerns were identified related to the torque tube alignment bolts. I am now facing repair estimates totaling approximately $14,000, without any financial assistance.

What has been most frustrating is not that mechanical issues exist on an older performance vehicle, but that the scope and severity of the problems only became clear after significant time and money had already been invested, leaving me with very limited options.

This review is intended to reflect the cumulative reliability and financial impact experienced shortly after purchase so future buyers can make an informed decision. I strongly recommend obtaining an independent inspection and second opinion before committing to expensive repairs.

I had a great experience here. The dealership was honest, fair, and very easy to work with. Everything was explained clearly, the pricing was straightforward, and there were no surprises. The staff were friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. I really appreciate their professionalism and the positive attitude. Highly recommended if you want a smooth and trustworthy car-buying experience. 🎉

I would stay away from this dealership. I bought a car here last week and I honestly regret giving this place business. From the moment I walked up I could tell it wasn't going to be a good experience. Not only did everyone seem uninterested in my business they weren't very friendly and they were very unprofessional. I've purchased 5 cars in my life time and this was easily the worst dealership in terms of service, honesty, and overall experience. Not to mention I traded in a car and they told me they couldn't give me any more than $5000 for it because they would only sell it for $7000. I look today at their inventory and the car is listed for $10,995. Not to mention the car I bought had a battery that needed to be replaced and needed new rotors. The finance manager said he could discount it a whole $350 dollars lol. All these good reviews are definitely fake, or paid for. Also, they didn't offer to wash the car for me or get any gas, and when I sent them an email and texted them about something they never got back to me. I'll make sure to let everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. In general I would avoid small privately owned dealerships like this, ive had nothing but horrible experience with them.

I just want to start off with giving the absolute BIGGEST FREAKING THANK YOU I believe I have ever given in my life to the staff that helped me @ ZAS Motors🙏🏾🩷!!! You guys have shown me SO much genuine compassion and care in a world that could use sooo much more of that these days!! I went in to my car buying experience initially feeling defeated internally and I stumbled across this dealership online and when I tell you they really SHOWED OUT for me!! I felt sooo welcomed, I felt genuinely heard and understood by all members of the staff, I felt like I was family, they made my intensely stressful situation feel like an absolute cake walk on the beach🤣!!

Moh: I want to thank you for all your help from your first call to get me to come into the shop to everything you’ve done for me, to me rolling in my beautiful new Mazda🩷!!

Zamir: I absolutely LOVED our conversation about our families and kids, and how you made me feel so welcomed, and how you did everything in your power and ABOVE to see to it that I was going to leave your shop with my Dream Car!! As an immigrant myself but I’ve lived here from the age of 5 it was so refreshing to see and hear a new perspective on the American Dream and how this country does have sooo much to offer compared to some other parts of the world🩷!! I sincerely hope you get EVERYTHING you hope for in life while here and best of luck with your schooling and I hope you do get to buy my old car!! I promise she’s amazing and she’ll treat you right👌🏾😊!! If anyone gets my old car I definitely want it to be you for sure🙏🏾!!!
