Description

Was rebuilt a few years ago by the owner. I don’t have a way to test, but you can bring whatever tools are necessary to confirm. For sale: 1952 Gale Buccaneer 5D10B outboard motor. This is a true piece of boating history—manufactured by Gale Products, a division of Outboard Marine Corporation, in the early 1950s. It’s nearly identical in design to Johnson and Evinrude motors from the same era. Details: • Year: 1952 • Model: 5D10B • Horsepower: 5 HP • Fuel mix: 16:1 gas-to-oil ratio (non-ethanol recommended) • Condition: Running, unrestored, complete • Original features: Decals, cowl, and hardware • Use: Ideal for a vintage small boat, display piece, or easy restoration project Notes: • Motor starts, runs, and shifts as it should • Carburetor and ignition serviced recently • Original patina and decals still present • Always stored indoors when not in use Why this motor is special: The Buccaneer line was known for its rugged design and smooth operation. 1950s small-horsepower outboards like this are becoming harder to find in complete, running condition—especially with original finishes intact
