Rare, matched pair mirror-image set, serial numbers 40698 and 40699 These famous DAHLQUIST DQ – 10 speakers are a must-have for any vintage audio enthusiast. They are beautiful in both design and sound. Excellent physical condition and they sound great! Beautiful three-column stands included as shown (plus the original little wooden feet that came with the speakers) Original documentation included as shown. I am renovating my apartment and, sadly, must sell them because they are too big for the new layout. Original owner, non-smoking home. The revolutionary DAHLQUIST DQ-10 is a five driver, phased array speaker system with separately mounted drivers, which eliminate time delay, distortion for very accurate reproduction of source material. The idea and execution of time and phase alignment were groundbreaking and carry over to most speakers manufactured today. The open back design eliminates the boxy sound of most speakers, and provides a full sound stage. Note: -because of the size and weight of these speakers local pick up in Manhattan is required. -These speakers require considerable power. Minimum 100 W per channel. I am also selling my 200 W per channel Bryston 4B power amplifier which is perfectly matched for these speakers as well as an APT/Holman preamp (for repair) and a SONY ST-J75 stereo, digital synthesized FM tuner.
