Description

-Valuable and Rare -Historic and Unique -Solid Wood, Temple Door Inlay with Brass Embellishments -Dual direction stability per leg via 2 adjustable bolts. -Thick glass top to protect the embellishments and inlay -Ebony/Cherry look due to varnish and passing of time, REALLY PRETTY 😍 $350 OBO Can polish per request if you are the buyer, but the distressed features are highly desirable /sought after. And if I'm being honest I love it as it is, and almost worry about taking away from the presence of it by using the wrong varnish or oil. Light background: These tables are made with Indian temple doors, sometimes the doors were acquired by commission, and sometimes they were taken 🤐 -Some of these tables were made while British troops were stationed in India. Right now Ballard Consignment has a full size table (which doesn't appear quite as old) going for $1100.00. On chairish you can find two of these side tables go for $1400.00. I'm not interested in dealer prices and wouldn't want you to pay that. I want this to go to a home that would appreciate the history, wants the best talking piece at an affordable price, and thinks this thing is as cool as I do. I'm asking $300 OBO, but make me an offer, I'm just a person. This would be the coolest gift ever for someone interested in antiques, history, or unique furniture. This piece would go great in any warm and cozy setting, sophisticated areas, it would be at home in a study, and I think it would look drop dead gorgeous in a gothic environment. To each their own!
