Meade 4504 114mm f/8 Telescope w/ AutoStar 494 Controller & HBX Interface Works

There’s nothing quite like finding your first galaxy or watching Saturn’s rings through your own telescope — and the Meade 4504 Starfinder makes that experience simple and rewarding. This model combines solid optical performance with Meade’s AutoStar 494 digital locating system, which automatically finds and tracks thousands of celestial objects. Just enter what you want to see, and the telescope guides itself — no guessing, no star charts needed. The motorized mount, AutoStar 494 controller, and HBX interface module are all included and fully functional. The optics are clear, and the telescope works properly — the motorized tracking and GoTo features operate as intended. There is significant rust on the tripod and most of the screws, especially on the legs and around the mount hardware (see photos). The good news is the tripod still locks securely and functions well — it’s sturdy and holds the telescope firmly. The rust is cosmetic but visible throughout.
