Contemporary hand carved chess table with 2 benches and a complete set of incredibly detailed hand carved chess pieces. From the faces to the crown. I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere. The chess board has a nice sized tempered glass to protect the board. Each side has two drawers that are felt lined to hold each players pieces. The detail on the whole table is carved with designs. Even the bottom cross bar is hand carved and detailed. I had purchased this from my friend a couple years ago right after her grandparents had past away. So talking with family members they say they think this was made and purchased in Indonesia. This was hand made and shipped to USA around 1990s and was appraised pre year 2000 for $3800. It’s in amazing condition and the details on it is stunning. I just moved and I have no room for it here. The two small chairs I have never been sat on and it looks like no one else has sat on them either. I can’t find another piece like this anywhere and there isn’t any maker markings on it. I can’t find any scratches or dings. I’m upset I have to get rid of it but I know it would look amazing in someone’s home.
