Vintage 1970s Gucci-Style Leather Tennis Racquet Bag by Carnaby

This is one super cool sports accessory! Made in the 1970s by Carnaby, this leather bag comes in a warm caramel color with Gucci-style red and green striping on the front. As seen by the front zipper pocket, this was initially intended to be used as a tennis bag, but can be repurposed as a tote bag instead. Along with the front pocket, there is one main zipper compartment with a pocket inside. Two handles on top make for easy transport. There is hardware on the sides for a shoulder strap, however, this bag does not have one. Please note that if you’d like to use it as a tennis bag, it will only fit smaller vintage tennis rackets, or those used for squash/racquetball. Modern tennis rackets are too large. Approximate measurements are: 12” H x 10” L x 5” W (7” with front pocket) This bag is in overall excellent condition. As with most vintage items, there are naturally minor scuffs from prior use. The edges of one of the handles has what seems to be white latex paint that I’ve done my best to remove without damaging the integrity of the handles themselves. The bag has been priced accordingly.
