Description
Selling approximately 35-40 bales of alfalfa from a small farm in eastern WA. $10 per bale. The bales are roughly 70pounds. This was the second year crop from the field. I think it just wasn't thick enough of a crop and picked up too much dust when it was baled. Some bales are okay (a little dust). But some picked up too much dust (and I am shaking the dust out and feeding it on the ground). Cut in July, grown with no watering system (not needed). It looks weathered on the outside and mixture of yellows and greens on the inside. It was baled dry, no rain and then stored for a month covered until it was transported here. I have been feeding it to my horses since August and don’t want to continue feeding because I have working show horses. I don’t want anyone to develop a cough. It has been covered with a tarp in my barn, but there is mildew on the outer edges from the moisture in the air. I have not had to pull any mold off. It would be a good feed for cows or other livestock. You must pick it up and transport it.
