In 2008 he founded the artgroup Quadriga, which is about etching, woodcut, linoleum and lithograph. Alfred Gockel's high-quality etchings reflect the craftmanship of his inspirators: Picasso, Mirò, Chagall, Dali and Dürer. In addition to painting and printing techniques he is looking for the three-dimensional expression. As a sculptor he has already worked with steel, acrylic, bronze, sandstone and marble. The "Yellow Angel" sculpture at the motorway interchange in Kamen (A1/A2) is one of his most significant projects. His particular focus is the art in public spaces.
