1943 WW2 Letter from Navy Transcribed

To Miss Audrey Wolfe 1328 S. St SE Washington DC My Dear Audrey, Well how is my sweets today, I sure hope you are over your cold by this time. Sweets I received two letters from you today, one of them was the first letter that you wrote to me while I was at North Island. Honey you said you hoped I didn't get on a carrier well I sure wish I was going page 2 out to Noumia on something that good dive? got some old tanker that isn't even fast enough to keep up with the convoy. Well things are pretty quite in the S.W. Pacific now anyways.  Audrey you said I made you feel bad by saying that I hadnt much to remember you by well honey you know I never was never very good at explaining things on paper. Sweets that night ____ we spent in Pa will always be my page 3 dearest memories of you. I guess it was that night and that Sunday that you and I spent at your house, was when I really knew that I loved you and as long as I lived I always would. Well I sure do wish I was gone up there to Pa with you when you go but I suppose I'll have to write until this dam war is over, and then you and I will ___ ____ a liberty won't we?  Audrey you know that boyfriend of mine page 4 that was out in the Sauith? sea someplace, Bob Miller is his name, and he is back in the state again, mother said he might take up flight training. Well I guess some people have all the luck, but for some reason I feel that ___ one of the luckiest guys in the world having a small girl like yourself wait for me and have her love me, better than anything else in the world. Honey I started this letter page 5 at 1800, or 6' o'clock and I just started to secure so I would get plenty of sleep before my security watch when in walks some damn Lt. and grabs a batch of us, puts us on a pick up and hurls us over to the docks. Well I worked over there on planes? that were being convoyed across , until 0100 and then I still have to start this four to eight watch in the morning. I suppose there just trying to toughen me up for whats coming, or maybe they just dont know what the devil there doing?  I dont suppose it will be very long now before Archie and I waive? our order to leave, well it cant be too soon for me I sure hate to wait for anything? Well Audrey have a good time in Pa + tell Jack I was asking for him. Take care of yourself honey and keep up the writing.  With all my love, Bark?      Pick up in James Island near folly beach.
