Description

Sculpture of rakes airplane by renowned artist Robert Cumpston. He was an American farmer from Colfax Illinois who began turning farm scrap metal into sculptures in the 1970s. He preferred old weathered metal, ideal for outdoor art. One of his sculptures was a featured in Antiques Road Show. He traveled the country selling his art pieces. Most of his sculptures were of animals. This airplane is 14 inches wide, 14 inches long, 6 inches high. He lived and created his art in the same farm he was born, July of 1930, sadly he passed away on July 9, 2018.
