Description
From the early 19th century (1840s ish possibly from Pennsylvania) this has been in my family for generations. It has beautiful spiral legs and is solid cherry wood. It is a gate leg design where the leg folds out to support the top when its fully expanded. Includes an insert and a protective, thick padded felt topper used under a table cloth. Measures 44" wide, 71" long fully expanded, but with the insert that adds another 15" making it up to 86" long. Great for the holidays, but then you can shrink it down to an everyday size. There is a water mark that could be removed if the top was refinished, but it is easily hidden with a table runner. If interested in table runners or table cloths that fit this piece, please see my other listing. The bottom of the insert show the cherry wood marking. Has matching chairs that are original to the set. Cushions are easily recovered. Table on its own is $700. With the 4-5 chairs it is $800. Easy to transport since it folds down so small.
