The 29 Combi is an open fisherman with a single helm at deck level and a station above. She is built to withstand punishment by both anglers and the sea. A 22° degree deep vee hull, low icenter of gravity, and solid fiberglass construction make this boat a competent platform in any rough water. Removed old obsolete thru hull fittings and made stronger than new hull fills. Many layers of new bottom barrier coat. Followed by antifouling bottom paint. Hynautic - Hydraulic steering system completely flushed and resealed. New PSS dripless shaft seals installed. A third large house battery installed to run all electronics. Installed new charging system so that either motor running will charge its own starting battery and then charge the house battery. Starting batteries are dedicated to each motor and only provide power to start that motor. All exhaust fittings and hoses replaced. Cast iron “Y” collector pipes replaced with composite. New alternators, new starters. Carburetors sent out to specialist in Ohio for rebuild. New Bennet “Auto Trim” system installed. Set your perfect trim angle and store it. The system will automatically adjust. People can sit anywhere they like and no effect on running angle. Installed new Garmin Fusion radio. App on phone pairs and mirrors front of system. Installed new Standard Horizon radio. Also installed companion wireless transmitter and portable handheld. Wander the boat with the VHF in hand. Installed new 65Watt Icom 2 meter ham radio. (No license required to operate off land) Use this to communicate 70 miles off shore with other tuna fisherman. (secret frequency they all use) Brand new refrigerator with freezer. Microwave.
