Description
This is a special bass rig. Heart of the rig was used by Leland Sklar, Peter Cetera(The band Chicago), and Jerry Scheff (Elvis’s bass player), and Jerry Scheff’s son, Jason Scheff, who joined the band Chicago after Peter Cetera. The Demeter amp was personally wired by James Demeter. This amp is different from standard pre-amps because it has 3 different cross over points (125, 250 and 500). This allows the bass player to choose which frequencies he wants to allow (or not allow). For instance, if you are crossing over to 125, you’re getting just bass sound which allows the people on stage to get full on bass sound but not vocal frequencies. The bass player Mark Andes bought this a bass rig when playing with the group Heart, and it was used in the making of the platinum winning album from Heart. If you cannot tolerate your sound to be unlike the record, this is absolutely the rig you should use. The cabinet was made by KK Audio. If you were to buy the individual components new it would cost $2000 by themselves but this one constructed all these components by famous guitar guru Fred Walecki (https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=aHR0cHM6Ly9sb25ncmVhZHMuY29tLzIwMjUvMDgvMjgvbXktZmF0aGVyLWd1aXRhci1ndXJ1LXRvLXRoZS1yb2NrLWdvZHMv) into one cross wired unit. He made it for the best bass players of his day, and he would love to sell it for the next best bass players of the future.
