Description
Miracle Grout Shield (70 oz) is designed to be mixed directly into your grout during installation to make it stain-resistant. It replaces the need to seal grout separately after installation. Here's how to use it: Shake the Grout Shield well, then pour the entire bottle into a clean mixing bucket. Gradually add your chosen grout (sanded or non-sanded) and mix thoroughly, either by hand or with a low-speed drill mixer, until the grout is uniformly wet. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes, then remix before following the manufacturer's instructions for grout installation. Detailed Instructions: 1. Preparation: Shake the Grout Shield bottle well before use. Ensure the grout you are using is compatible with Grout Shield (it works with sanded and non-sanded cement grouts but not with ready-to-use, urethane, or epoxy grouts). If you are using a sealer on the tile or stone, apply it before grouting and let it cure according to the manufacturer's instructions. 2. Mixing: Pour the entire 70 oz bottle of Grout Shield into a clean mixing bucket. Slowly add the grout to the Grout Shield, mixing by hand or with a low-speed drill (do not exceed 200 RPM). Ensure all the grout is thoroughly mixed and wetted, with no dry powder remaining. Avoid over-mixing. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, then remix. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a small amount of clean, cool water (up to 2 ounces at a time) until the desired consistency is achieved. 3. Installation: Follow the grout manufacturer's instructions for installation. Ensure the grout is properly applied and any excess is removed during the final cleaning process (typically within 45-60 minutes). 4. Maintenance: Grout Shield helps make grout stain-resistant, but regular cleaning is still recommended. Use a pH-neutral cleaner for everyday cleaning. For grease, soap scum, or hard water stains, use alkaline or acid-based cleaners as needed. Be mindful of how you clean, as some methods can leave dirt residue in the grout joints.
