Description
This antique spinning wheel loom is a handmade Saxony-style wheel, featuring a single treadle for operation. Crafted in the United States in 1803, this authentic primitive spinning wheel reflects the extremely skilled craftsmanship of that era. According to the typed note attached to the wheel, it was built in 1803 by a Mr. Joseph Adams from Massachusetts as a wedding present for his bride, Melissa. The wheel's horizontal design and sturdy construction make it a unique and valuable piece for spinning enthusiasts or for collectors looking to add a piece of American textile history to their collection. I thought it would make a KILLER lamp base. Approximately 2’ 9” tall and has a wheel diameter of 14”. The handcrafted piece weighs 11 lbs 4 oz unboxed. I ship priority unless otherwise requested. Thanks!
