Versatile and highly collectible Stickley dining set from the Cherry Valley Collection of Leopold Stickley; constructed of high quality cherry hardwood with its original rich light cherry finish. Beautifully maintained under complete coverage custom glass table toppers in a nonsmoking home for over 25 years. The table top surface in excellent condition - no water rings, stains, ink marks, paint or deep scratches. °Features double drop leaves, detached butt end extensions versatile as side accent/buffet station tables. Picture shows one end piece in place and one end piece to side decorated with lamp, vase of flowers and decor. **please note one leaf support post underneath table on uppermost section was splintered during move in 2002, piece was immediately resecured, clamped & wood glue applied. No issue with function, small crack evident at glue union. °Table length adjustable from maximum length (44"W x 117"L x 30"H) or minimal length (44"W x 45"L x 30"H) . °Master crafted by L & J Stickley Bros. in Fayetteville, NY circa 1940 °Spindle back solid wood chairs with original cane rush seats are in immaculate condition-total of four (4) side chairs and two (2) armchairs in the traditional style of the firm, although spindle back style productions were lower than Trestle or Mission styles of same collection. °Table retains its original label which reads: “A Leopold Stickley original Authentic Cherry Valley Stickley Fayetteville, N.Y.” on the underside of the table. The table is also marked with an embossed Stickley mark. Chairs also exhibit embossed Stickley mark on inner leg post. ° Set has been authenticated and professionally appraised by Dr. Lori Verdamer, frequent expert examiner on History channel's "Curse of Oak Island" This Stickley set is heirloom quality, increases in value as fewer nearly unblemished examples remain available for the discerning buyer. Fantastic value with custom glass table toppers & several luxury table linens with matching napkins. My home is located in a historic district of large older homes from c. 1890's-1920's, and I will be posting many more furniture and art pieces as it's time after 90 years of age to begin to downsize my home furnishings (which are many)that can properly be cared for.
