Description

The amp is in very great condition works and sounds amazing. Per the manufacturer 2 channels. EL34 power tubes. Product Description Now Ashdown applies its expertise to developing a new range of affordable, hi-gain tube amplification, the Fallen Angel. Designed for a new breed of guitarists demanding a saturated, singing soloing voice while still retaining loads of bottom end punch, the Fallen Angel 40 features a capable clean channel with gain, treble, middle, bass and volume controls. But its Channel 2 that really rocks, offering everything from big, fat bottomed tone (perfect for muted power chords on 7-string guitars), right through to screaming, soaring lead sounds. The Fallen Angels secret lies in some very clever tube circuit design. With most tube amps, you only get the best solo voice when the output stage is working close to flat out which often means it's too loud, so some kind of power soak is used to get this sound at lower levels. Trouble is, you then don't have the power you need on tap for massive, bass-heavy chords. That's why the solo voice character on the Fallen Angels comes from the preamp stage, so maximum grunt is always available from the power stage whenever you need it.
