PAINTING peinture 50x50in (127x127cm) Fortress was inspired by a bird's-eye view of American farmland. "When I'm bored, like to look at satellite pictures online and I'm always drawn to agriculture and crop lines," explains artist Edward View. This unique graphic pattern was created by using a custom-made comb to scrape away thick layers of gesso from a dark background to reveal crisp grey lines. Edward View is a Montreal-based artist who draws on architecture, infrastructure and the cities in which he lives to create his modern art.
