1950s SLINGERLAND Snare Drum w RADIO KING Calfskin Heads 10 thumbnail more ads by this seller The tail on the S in "Slingerland" means this was made between 1956 and 1959. I think by then, the Radio King name was no longer used. But some information I gathered said that possibly a few Radio Kings were produced. I don't know if this is a Radio King. I don't think so. But, it's a totally sick vintage Slingerland mahogany snare from the 50s. It is in very good condition overall. There are some minor breaks in the continuity of the chrome on some of the lugs. It's all original, except for the snare wires. The blue cotton canvas case is felt lined, but I would definitely recommend getting a case if you buy it.
