Description
This framed watercolor of The Weem Inn was created by contemporary Scottish painter Jim McIntyre (signed lower right). Research reveals that The Weem Inn is a historic coaching inn, believed to date back to 1527, located in the village of Weem, near Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland. It served as General George Wade’s base during the construction of the bridge at Aberfeldy in the 18th century and is linked to the Jacobite Rebellion. The framed watercolor measures approximately 16 1/8” x 10 1/2” and the watercolor is in very good/excellent condition.
