Bought this and used once, **way** too powerful for my purposes. This is better used to cool a large living area, cool down whole house during power outage, etc. than it is for a small bedroom or office. This is an inverter unit, so it ramps it's power usage based on the need, e.g. 200w if it's just keeping the room cool, but can ramp all the way up to something like 1400w to rapidly power cool the room. Dual hose means it has one hose with both an inlet and an outlet inside, so you don't get that "attic smell" from negative pressure like you will with single hose units. This one takes in air from the outside and blows the hot exhaust out, so your inside pressure is equalized. Single hose units suck air from other areas of the house/attic and can't keep up cooling the area in the long term. Hurricane season is approaching. I also have a generator for sale in another listing. Also has "Comfort Sense" mode which automates everything using the temp sensor on the remote so you get the perfect temp for wherever you are in the room. - Dehumidifier - Built in pump - White and stainless color - 450sq ft approximate cooling area This is pretty much a top of the line model, with max capacity that you would ever see on a 110v plug. I am in purge mode, and while I'd love to have it for an emergency, I also would like the space back.
