This is Mitchell’s Island Blue solid body double-cutaway Strat like guitar. It’s my 5TH post of the 6 colors available in the set. They all have a black Tusq nut, rosewood 24-fret fretboard, 2-humbucker pickups (a single coil size at the neck and a standard size at the bridge). They all string through the body for better sustain across ferrels and have 2-volume pots and a master tone on a push/pull pot which works like a kill switch when activated. These guitars are a unique prodigy from Guitar Center sold exclusively by Guitar Center and Musicians Friend. I purchased my set from Musician Friend when they were on sale (various colors at various times). They are meant to help new guitarist to feel comfortable moving to an electric guitar. Their design captures the best qualities of Fender, Ibanez, PRS, and even Fernandez via the jack body socket near the bottom heel strap button. I have taken these instruments to an additional level by adding a cover over the exposed strings through the body and the bridge saddles thereby protecting them while preventing the saddle from falling off during string changes and providing a place for the player to safely rest his hand while playing. Additionally, I’ve added a custom shaped Greasy Groove elevated pick guard in the “pinup theme” and replaced the pot knobs with some that better blend with all the colors of the instrument while adding indicator washers. I include a padded gig bag and have strung the guitar with a new set on nickel 10s; however, I’m willing to restring the guitar with whatever string gauge is preferred by the buyer. Additionally, I am willing to include another custom shaped Greasy Groove pick guard from those pictured from the various themes for an additional $40.
